Honda of America, using Afero’s IoT platform, needed some business usecases to promote a connected products initiative internally. This includes consumer, professional services, and Honda Licensed Service Technician portals and apps.

Using the web-based Profile Editor, Afero can instantly create and load a mobile interface,cloud APIs and firmware code for your IoT projects. Cutting development-to-production times by 80%.

The Afero App is fully modular,skinnable and has a full range of widgets. Developers can create rapid IoT prototypes with multiple devices with the base Afero app or release their own customized version-in months not years.

Using the Afero BTLE development kit, Kenmore placed coin op machines into laundromats with an easy(quarter-less) smart pay system. The prototype app leveraged ApplePay and Stripe for easy financial transactions.

To meet launch deadlines, Kenmore commissioned a one-off application to access their new Kenmore Elite Air Conditioners(they are now integrating it into their other Smart Services.) Japanese Megastore LOHACO commissioned Afero to create an affordable/free device that allowed users to order their favorite products using a simple button and barcode system connected to the Lohaco Delivery Services. Similar but more robust than Amazon Dash Buttons.
